Music Lessons in Ocean Beach California

I offer in-house lessons on acoustic and electric guitar, and acoustic and electric bass. I am also starting to teach mandolin, but still getting to "expert" myself so I only teach beginner and intermediate on that instrument. I studied at UC San Diego, and have 30+ years stage and studio experience. I am an expert lead and backing vocalist too, so if you need voice lessons or want to learn to accompany yourself or others, I can help!

I start with the basics, and teach you how to tune and take care of your instrument. My students choose their own songs, I never make them learn "boring folk songs" just so they can learn a few chords.

I teach both flat-picking and finger-picking (on both bass and guitar), and will show you how to use space to take your playing into the next level.

Since I record all my own music and am a sound engineer (I have a degree in Electrical Engineering from UCSD), I can also show you how to make yourself sound great, both live and in the studio.
